Our story
An Inclusive Labour Market started in Sweden in 2022, connected to Mitt Liv’s 18 years dedication to advancing inclusion.
At the time, we could not find a European platform dedicated to bringing together role models, research and practical experience on inclusive labour market topics - so we decided to create one. What began as a focused symposium with around 80 participants has grown into an international platform, welcoming hundreds of guests on-site and a global audience online.
Today, AILM is organised from Switzerland by Soviala GmbH, founded by Sofia Appelgren - who also founded Mitt Liv and the foundation Mitt Livs Val. The platform builds on years of experience from traveling the world and working with some of the largest international corporates, bringing together perspectives across countries, sectors and industries.
Why we believe in this platform
The labour market is changing fast. Demographic shifts, new technology, AI, migration, sustainability and changing expectations are reshaping how we live, work and lead.
We believe these changes cannot be understood — or solved — by one sector, one organisation or one country alone. That is why An Inclusive Labour Market exists.
AILM brings together leaders, researchers, businesses, civil society and international voices to explore what a more inclusive and resilient labour market can look like in practice. It is a space for shared knowledge, honest conversations and ideas that can move from words to action.
